Influence of internet on kids

Introduction 

The reach to the internet is nowadays very easy and it has influence not only kids but also all the communities and even the old age group is addicted to internet. As applicable to both the phenomenon is comes with certain advantages and disadvantages in the society. Therefore, nowadays there is increase in the influence of internet on kids and due to that they are affected emotionally, physically and mentally. But with this internet has also given many kids the opportunity to explore things through internet. 

Causes 

The main cause due to which the access to internet is more widespread and shares a common place is because it can provide with instant education and wide variety of volume of education. 

Kids nowadays rather going to the library sitting for hours and finding books that are applicable for their projects and study they rather go on the internet search for it and blindly copy it. They are not using their minds to do some brilliant work. 

 It also opens many doors that could possibly not done without the use of internet for example social media.

Therefore, it provides the child with the freedom of the use of internet which can resides in their head and make them an addict towards the internet. Another reason being that internet is utmost convenient for the kids to use.

The further use of the internet is easy and can influence them in many ways. Nowadays during the pandemic, I have seen many girls selling their painting or joining blogging with the advancement of social media this has become possible. Many children have started their business through the social media which has somehow proved to be fruitful for them.

Positive affects of internet influence on kids 

One of the major positive affects of the internet is that it enhances knowledge of the kids and widen their approach towards a certain topic. The information regarding a particular subject is widened up on the internet. Another positive affect of the internet is that children can use to showcase their talent on the social media for example YouTube etc.

Social networking is another advantage for the kids but only if it used in a right and appropriate manner such as exchanging view on a particular political topic or health concern issues. They can raise voice against what they think is going wrong in the world. 

Like the killing of the George Floyd by the policemen many children also raised voice against it and peaceful protest through the internet was been observed by the children as well.

Also, there are many online games that are available and online activities that are conducted which helps in enhancing child creative mind.

Moreover, a survey was conducted which made it clear that children who use internet thrive in their academics than children who do not have the access to the same.

Health hazards 

Spending too much time on the internet can be hazardous for the children as it has generated a lot of health issues and main health issue that has arise is obesity. Children have stopped playing on the park and playgrounds and they are more found on their phones. 

They are not able to eat food without watching their favourite show on the interent. 

Nowadays it has become a compulsion that every child has a eye number and have stuck with glasses around their eyes because they strain themselves with excessive use of the internet.

Conclusion 

No good thing remains good in an unchecked excess. Same goes for the internet no matter how good an internet be but it caused a lot of damage to the mankind and will continue to do that. But in this case, we cannot blame the internet completely. The kids should be taught the limitation of the internet in schools and by parents as well.
