Globalization has a significant impact on human life. This change is seen in technology. Smartphone gadget is a technology that helps human in many fields. This gadget is not only used by an adult but also children have the use of this technology. This is one of the impacts of habituating parents who let their children play gadgets in this habit, if not monitored properly it has a negative effect on the child in many fields. To make managing the child’s technology usage phone easier, the latest smartphones have parental controls. Control access to the contents the child views and limit screen time. It’s about ensuring they spend time away from a device and engaging in physical and social activities that do not involve a screen.

How to protect a child’s privacy                                                                                   

We are living in a world where people are posting every part of their lives on social media – but we might want to protect a child’s privacy. Apple and Google both offer parental control to protect child privacy. Perhaps we want to block access to social media apps and game settings set the age restriction to “10 and up” or younger.

For android users: the family link app comes up trumps: we can prevent child sharing google photos- and also limit google’s ability to save information about child’s browsing history, voice commands, and other activities.so if we got a tech-savvy child, we might want t find another way to ensure they are not using sites such as Twitter, Instagram, and Facebook.

For iPhone users: head back into contents and privacy restrictions tab in the screen time setting menu, where we will find a privacy control

How to control access to apps and contents

It is easier than we think for the children to be exposed to content that would judge inappropriate –especially in the age of social media –so it’s important to take action to ensure where they are sheltered from anything that could harm or shock them.

Android phone users: This lets you share the phone with a child while restricting the device’s use when it is in child’s hands you can still create an account log into it on the child’s phone, and manage it from your own android device.

Start by downloading the Google family link app from the android app store. by creating a Google account –linked to your own –for a child to use. It will help decide for a child what sort of restrictions to place on that account.

  • Google apps such as photos, maps, and play music come preinstalled .youtube is blocked instead of this youtube kids is available in the app store.

  • For iPhone users: with the ios 13 changes, sharing an apple iPhone with 10 years old just isn’t convenient as it with an android device.to get started, add the kids to the family through the phone screen’s time setting.

  • In addition to general warning about protecting kids from the internet, parents should be aware of some specific thing, including:

  • Illegal file-sharing program: through specific sites such a bit torrent etc., kids illegally download movies, music, and other contents.

  • Social networking sites: many kids use these sites, such as Twitter and Instagram, to post personal information and photos, which predators can use to contact the child.

  • Video chat: kids have also started video chat rooms more and more, including the popular Chatroulette, which matches users with strangers to chat with a lot of people engaged in inappropriate behaviors while on their webcam.

  • Web videos: usually there are plenty of videos on YouTube that are not inappropriate for kids.

 

Parents execute educational value and or character-building continuously, with full love to offset the influence of the internet. The role of parents here is parent instill the value of education full of love by utilizing the gadget.

Parents are still required to be assertive but remain gentle and patient. Parent have full control of children when children are in the home, education, supervision, coaching, done by parents in children is a great responsibility for parents.


Conclusion

Technical development should be put to good use, especially if it used to help improve the education of character in children. Technology can have a negative impact if used by children without supervision and guidance of parents, and it can have a positive impact on children if used properly and with supervision by parents. Parents have an important role in the utilization of the gadget to establish.
