Education is said to be the most important aspect of the growth of a nation, the stronger the education system is, the better the chances of development and the more the educated people, the faster the growth rate is.

Besides all, education is everyone's human right and everyone deserves to get the equal opportunity to study and learn, and when something is a person's right, it should be given to them howsoever and without any expectations. Given the condition of the economy of the major part of the country, not everyone has the funds to pursue education.

In the race called life, we all did not start from the same point. Life hasn’t been equal to everyone. On one hand, where someone is born with the silver spoon having all the luxury one could think of. And on the other hand, someone is just struggling to get basic food and shelter.

We have been failing to equalise this system for ages. The fastest step to equalise it can start from equalising the education system. Everyone should have equal and free access to education. If not complete education, at least some level of elementary education should be made free.

Pros of free education:

  1. Guaranteed Education

This way we can guarantee a certain level of education to everyone. People struggle for getting education and most of them are not able to get their children educated. The wages they earn hardly cover their livelihood. For them, education is still a farfetched thing.

Free education is important because it guarantees some level of education even for the poorest.

  1. A way to secure future

Education is the key to a safe life. There are a lot of job opportunities for an educated person. One can switch their work more swiftly when they are educated but it is difficult for uneducated people, they have to stick to a limited number of less paid jobs.

  1. Better outlook on life

Education gives the ability to think about different aspects of life, know and understand things better and analytically.

  1.  Increased employment

When everyone will have access to education, their eligibility for various jobs automatically increases and they get more chances of getting employment.

  1. Creates equality

When education access for everyone is equal, there is a sense of equality that generates within the minds of people. Besides, equal space for every job profile is created.

  1. Students can pursue their interests

There will not be different fees for different educational courses and hence everyone will have the opportunity to choose whatever they feel like. Switching from one job to another would also be so easy.

  1. The Wage difference will decrease.

People will generate respect and value for every kind of job and hence they will pay them what they actually deserve and this will decrease the wage difference between different profiles of jobs.

How free education is provided

Certainly, nothing is free. It just means that it will be bored by the public through taxes. So, when the education will be made free obviously taxes will be levied on the public to cover the expenses to provide that.

Countries providing free education

There are plenty of countries that provide free education for everyone. A few even provide free education even to foreign students. Germany, Norway, Finland and New Zealand are some examples of them. There are a lot of people from other countries willing to study in these countries.

Even after providing education for free, people don’t face any crisis like situation because of the balance between work and life.

These countries also come in some of the top countries in terms of happiness.

When we live with the belief that everyone has the right to education and equal opportunities, then we need to admit that everyone should be provided that without any discrimination and we need to grow together for the nation to grow. Thus, turning education into a business is neither valid nor just.

We should be someone who takes everyone together and the government has the responsibility to fulfill the right to education for everyone, by funding or sponsoring at least the poor masses who are thriving to live even a day. We need to learn and teach. That is the only way forward for everyone together.

“Education is not a luxury but a basic need” and that is why knowledge is meant to share and not sold.
