Nowadays medicine has become more like a business. It started with the intention of improving health care of an individual and the society but it promptly starts speaking the language of money and profit. One of the biggest changes that has occurred is the doctor patient relationship. Doctor’s treat their patient no more as a patient but as customer hence, the plan that addresses the healthcare needs of the people and country are majorly missing. Moreover only 48 per cent out 1.35 billion beds are functional to treat a patient. There are no remedies given to the poor people in our country even though government hospital is being made but the condition is worse some of the patient are lying outside the hospital with crucial diseases due to lack of bed and money they can not afford a private hospital.

The harsh reality is that healthcare service provided in India surrounds the person with debt and not with proper treatment.

These are some following ways through which the medical facility in our country could be improved-

Change of attitude of youngsters towards serving villagers and collaborating in social work

Most of the young doctors prefer working in private hospitals soon after their study of doctor is completed as they are tempted by the salary offered by the private the sector. This could be encouraged by amending the syllabus and bringing up health care problems of the village people.

Controlling and checking private hospital-

The government is providing with medical insurance schemes to common people and various others with the intention that it helps in limiting the pocket expenditure on certain health expenditure. Even though government proving with such remedies the private hospital take advantage for the same and demand more from the patient even when it is a small injury or any other small health issue, the state government should look after these private hospitals and should take a strict action against the same.

Keeping a record of facilities made available to patient-

Tragedy in Gorakhpur is a classical example as many children died due to lack of facilities available to them at government hospitals. Every hospital should maintain a record of facilities and if anything is lacking, they should take care of the same. Number of patients admitting, number of beds available, number of ventilators etc these lists should be maintaining with the hospitals to prevent the unforeseen. Even during the pandemic, the hospitals lacked these faculties due to which many patients are not being treated.

Focus should be made on partnership of public and private to build hospitals and institution

Since it is very difficult to set up hospitals in every part of the country the government should focus on the partnership of public and private hospitals which could be made a centre of institution and treatment of patients this would improve the relation between the doctors and patient also will improve the health care facility in our country.

Learning from the state and other country

We need to keep a check on other countries and state outbreak of any virus so that our country and other states can prepare themselves for the worst for example the outbreak of corona virus if the country was prepared for such pandemic the situation could have been controlled in early stages.

A feedback mechanism should be adopted for every hospital

An  app should be made by the government for private, public and government hospitals in which the patient can fill a feedback form after being treated in the hospital and if any complain for example doctor came late, demanded more money etc can be registered in the app and could be looked forward. This way a strictness would be maintain especially among the private hospitals

CONCLUSION

Most of the students after pursuing their doctor degree they prefer going out of India rather than serving their own people we should try and connecting our students to our roots not to money. Many hospitals and institution for students and for people should be who are unable to get admitted in the private hospitals. Due to this pandemic lack of hospital and lack of medical negligence is leading to so many deaths in our country even though people can be saved as the immunity of India’s are much better than any other country.
