INTRODUCTION
Sex education among children and especially amongst the teenage is very important. Nowadays we live in a toxic environment where 5 years or 10 years girls are being raped. The age when they do not even know the meaning of rape or forceful touch. Pregnancy among the teenager and sexually transmitted disease is very common. Teaching them about protected sex and teaching children about the difference between a good and a bad touch is necessary and it will help to prevent mishappenings.
Children and adults need much more than a one-time chat about the birds and the bees. The difference between the bad touch and good touch should not only be taught by parents, it should be taught by the school.
Reasons why sex education is important
The primary objective of imparting sex education is that the children should understand the body structure of men and women acquiring the knowledge about giving birth.
Teaching children about sex education is important as there will be acceptability and an establish responsibility towards how the gender have to act in the society so that they are not mistreated.
Understanding the similarities and differences between the gender will set up a foundation with their friends, lovers and interpersonal relations.
Sex education is kind of holistic education it teaches an individual about self acceptance it also cultivates the sense of responsibility towards the other and one self in the society.
When should sex education be imparted?
Nowadays with developing world and modern times it is very important to impart sex education on time to children as their curiosity may mislead them by indecent magazines and irresponsible media.
When children grow, they need to learn the psychological and physiological changes in the body system. On the other hand girls should be provided with education based on menstrual cycle. The parents along with their children should also go through the process of counselling as they also need to understand changes in the body of their children. This way a balance would be maintained and understanding between the generations would be clearer than invisible.
Where as a mother is considered to be ideally imparting the knowledge about sex it is equally important for father to also participate in teaching about sex. A son can learn how to act like a gentleman to a girl and what is his responsibility as a man
Whereas a daughter can learn from his father the role and responsibility towards the society
Parents and the environment in which the child lives matters the most. While a child is growing, he/she should have a loving and understanding family parents should not avoid any questions related to sex and be best friends with their children. They should continuously interact with their parents about the same.
CONCLUSION
Sex education is important but teaching them {children}
Not just about sex but equality of sex is also important.
An individual approach towards the sex defines the personality of his/her towards the life. Parents should have good communication once their child grows up as it will not take time for a child to get misled by anyone else.
