it can help to bring a change in many aspects related to women, spreading communalism in society and inequality among the people, etc.
IMPORTANCE OF SOCIAL MEDIA
People are actively participating in social media platforms like Facebook Instagram etc. Facebook alone has 1.2 billion monthly active users and Twitter has 1 billion registered users.
(1). It helps one to get your message out to the targeted audience
(2). Easy to share information to illiterates
(3). Social media is cost and time effective
CHALLENGES OF SOCIAL MEDIA
There are several challenges faced by social media which are as follows –
(a). Prioritize organic reach
There is a dominant downfall rot hr organic reach most of them adopt a strategy to reduce organic reach by pushing brands to adapt their advertising solution instead they should invest in creating their own paid ads.
(b). Try influence marketing
It is one of the widely used processes as it is cost-effective and has a great return on the ad spent
Some of the following problems are faced –
● Best influence for a brand is needed:- There is a need to find an audience in the niche with followers, who are similar to the target audience.
● Providing creative freedom:- Influencers know more about their targeted audience so a certain level of creative freedom should be authorized with the influencer.
● Measuring impact:- Measuring the ROI of the digital platform has been a tremendous problem even for the influencer.
FREEDOM OF SPEECH AND EXPRESSION
Article 19[1]a of the Indian constitution states that all citizen shall have the right to express their views and opinion freely
The philosophy behind this article was to provide liberty in thought and expression to all the citizen.
But there is some restriction to the same as article 19[2] of the Indian constitution states that there is some restriction that follows as the following –
Security of the state, friendly relations with a foreign state, public order, defamation, decency, and morality etc….
How can freedom of speech and expression prevent the spread of communalism?
‘the religion is not worth living in our country’ such sort of words is mostly used by the Hindu community for Muslims on social media create a feeling of communalism among people. The democracy has provided us with freedom of speech and expression but not on the cost that it hurts any religious sentiments. This leads to a situation of violence and war btw among the religion
In the case of ram mandir, people quoted some quotes
that have the potential of affecting sentiments of other religion such as
“bacha ram ka janam bhumi ka”
“ek dhakka aur do babari masjid tod do”
The feeling towards other religions or complaint should be resented in such a manner that it does not create a communal angle in the mindset of people.
CONCLUSION:-
Hence social media has a negative as well a positive impact on people but the focus should be that imparts knowledge to all the people even the illiterates of our country
It can improve by focusing more on positive aspects that help a person to grow mentally.
Will end it by delivering a quote
‘DON’T USE SOCIAL MEDIA TO IMPRESS PEOPLE; USE IT TO IMPACT PEOPLE ‘
it can help to bring a change in many aspects related to women, spreading communalism in society and inequality among the people, etc.
