Martial Rape is a Crime

The holy vermilion lining her trichion epitomized the Cosmo of marriage. A new beginning, new bondage, and a new family. The wells and bells of this day made her believe in a sonorous future that was waiting for her. She left the pedestal of her childhood with shredded tears and entered an opulent platform selcouthly. Walking to the whole iridescent, a girl never realizes the upcoming epiphany that guards the way. She never knew that her beaming hyena's snicker would be cascaded to disturbing screams. The folds of the sheet would yell her quivering tales. The welsh of her dignity would surround the aura. She never knew that her wings to fly would be chopped down to somnambulistic grief.

"MARITAL RAPE" is no different from RAPE, the four-letter word screams the same ineffable crime being committed repeatedly under a roof. Our consciousness shivers to know when people claim that sex is superficial for a married couple because they belong to each other. Whatever happens between them "physically" is their personal vendetta. Living in a democratic country, it struck me with a quiver that we shoulder people with such meager opinions. " people do not seem to realize that their opinion of the world is also a confession of their character."

"It's not rape,  said the husband" - Prakriti Katariya.

The six-word sentence circumscribed the holistic misery of every woman that lies entangled in the thread of marital rapes. The history confined the woman in the boundaries of home and as the weaker section of the society, they nullified their efficiency to put forth their opinions. It's not only a shrouded scenario of our country but the women of the whole world also suffered as well. How do you think VIRGINIA WOOLF and SYLVIA PLATH emerged as the successful writers because they had the audacity to stand up against the patriarchal wall that surrounded us. An article in the " first post" added that the Justice JS Verma Committee in its report on the "Amendments to Criminal Law" in January 2013 recommended, in no unequivocal terms, that the preposterous exception to Section 375 of the Indian Penal Code should be removed. The committee went to great lengths to quote the UN Committee on the Elimination of Discrimination against Women (CEDAW), the Declaration on Elimination of Violence against Women 1993 (DEVW). The Delhi high court had a stream of arguments stating that rapes are the evils of the marriage that lies submerged.

Gender has always been an intruder to the fundamental rights of a human being. In a family of four, the section of the family's property goes to the son despite the girl child being the eldest. She is always treated as an asset whereas the entitled son remains the liability. Apart from the common ignorant issues, the residing government document struck us with the lightning bolt of us being an outsider.

The anatomy of the crime is often subdued by the socialist morality that hovers around.  This drone of foxy elixir that clouds socialism states that marriage is sacred and an epitome of universal bondage.  Sacred and Scared are spelled with the same letter without anyone noticing the vast difference foils them. The tranquility of marriage can never accept the rantipole of physical abuse. It is a drowsy picturesque of revelations that are often left unsaid. Hence this revelation will increase incredulity. The incubus is to make people realize but actual crime still remains pulseless.

So here's a logic that, a woman who is not married is raped by a known person is termed as a crime whereas a woman raped by her husband still remains a topic of the abbreviation.

Laws should definitely be held against such dissection but it's also a contemporary belief that sometimes marital rape can be observed differently through other perspectives.

But does it give us the liberty to ignore it? Of course not,  any kind of sexual intercourse intended forcefully is RAPE, and the documentation of marriage doesn’t allow one to attain a physical relationship without the consent of the partner. Hence laws are made to punish the criminal and not debate on morality coinciding with it. The levels of morality will only drill our brains, manipulate them, and confine the perpetual sensibility to understand the actual hierarchy of the crime.
