If you wish to be happy, be. How can we achieve happiness? It is a never-ending question posed by many societies across the world. Many of us are still seeking for the solution. WHO warns that by 2030, depression goes to be the leading contributor to the worldwide disease burden. So, should countries lead off to make their people happy as a goal in itself? The solution is “yes”, with more countries expanding their measurement of success this will be the best track.
The connection between happiness and socially progressive:-
• Do What You Love: Have you ever heard the phrase, “Do what you love, love what you do?” By doing things that you like and getting paid for it is the best you can choose for your career. When work looks like play, you’re more likely to enjoy the other aspects of your life better.
Loving your work will help in your satisfaction and also will help you to become socially progressive.
• Avoid Regrets: We all make mistakes in life and that’s an element of the attribute. But with a small forethought, you'll try and avoid making major mistakes. Even then, they still happen. You must learn the skill to forgive yourself because we are all a product of our mistakes and we learn from them to become better each day.
• Meditation: Sitting down in an exceedingly calm background and performing some deep breathing for half an hour is all it takes to relax your mind and body. In doing so, you get in-tuned along with your inner-self, and invariably, you’ll get to grasp yourself slightly better. That is a really good indicator of the happiness scale. Being yourself happy will facilitate you to make others happy as well. You will do your best to make people comfortable in their skin.
• Take Rest: Ever notice how cranky you’re within the afternoon when you’ve only had 5 or 6 hours of sleep? Many people suffer from a lack of sleep which may result in a higher level of stress. After a great of sleep, you'll be able to do your daily tasks in an exceedingly more calm and alert way.
• Don’t compare yourself: The more we compare, the more we lose ourselves. Don’t condition yourself of particular things that others are doing because it will hold you back. Not only will it affect your self-esteem but your social progress.
• Take Some Alone Time- Except for spending time with family and friends, it is very important to take some time for yourself. You can recharge your spirit and find peace in a little bit of silence. Taking some time away and being alone can lighten up your mood and outlook.
• Good Relationships with Family and Friends- Happy people do not spend large amounts of your time alone. By spending time with people, you like, you forge supportive relationships that assist you in times of stress. You furthermore may bond with others through common experiences, like life’s ups and downs. They become your support network. Those who do not spend the utmost amount of time with family or friends are more vulnerable to loneliness and depression.
• Laugh Every Day- Does one spend time daily laughing? Does one purposefully find something to laugh about? These are the questions that one asks themselves because once you laugh, you release a cheerful hormone called oxytocin. This hormone uplifts our mood. Even just making yourself smile will put you to a much better place.
Growing from adversity:-
Research shows that experiencing adversity can be good for us, depending on how we reply to it. Tolerating distress can make us more resilient and lead us to require action in our lives, like changing jobs or overcoming hardship.
In studies of individuals facing trauma, many describe their experience as a catalyst for profound change and transformation, resulting in a phenomenon referred to as “post-traumatic growth”. Often when people have faced difficulty, illness, or loss, they describe their lives as happier and more meaningful as a result.
Unlike feeling happy, which is a transient state, leading a happier life is about individual growth through finding meaning. It’s about accepting our humanity with all its ups and downs, enjoying the positive emotions, and harnessing painful feelings to achieve our full potential.
Being happy in yourself will facilitate you to become more socially progressive. Happy people live an open life where they're not held back by anything negative.
Love yourself then everything will fall into place.
