Safety & Security Are What Society Needs Most

Safety is basically defined as protection from danger and security, on the other hand, is defined as the freedom from danger. So, an individual's safety and security are the most important because both affect an individual's well-being. Safety and security comprise of multiple things such as stable income, housing, clothing, food supplies, protection from crime, cyber and psychological security. 

  

Many studies show that safety, security, and justice are major concerns for citizens. A secure environment benefits a person in numerous aspects such as:- 

 

(1). TO REDUCE FINANCIAL LOSS:- 

Safety and security at the workplace and home reduce the expenditure caused due to tragedies which reduce financial loss. 

 

(2). TO INCREASE WORKER PRODUCTIVITY:- 

According to a survey, workers tend to work more effectively in a safe and secure environment as they mainly focus on their work rather than danger or hazard.  

(3). ENHANCES COMPANY REPUTATION:- 

A safer work environment attracts people as safety and security are considered to be the primary parameter of an individual. People are keen to work with the company which invests in the security and safety of the staff. 

 

India is one of the most populated countries across the world and so is it's from crime rate. According to GIWPS,  India ranks 133 out of 167 countries with an index score of 0.625 on the basis of inclusion, justice, and security. As we are moving more into the world of technology, cyber crimes are in a boost regarding sexual harassment, lottery scams, and other frauds mostly in the financial and banking sector as hackers hack the aadhar card linked with the bank account. Living in a country like India, we almost daily listen about increasing crime rates in India including thefts, cybercrimes, murders, rape cases, and many more.   

 

(4). WOMEN SAFETY:- 

Women's safety has become one of the major issues as they are considered to be weak in this male dominating society and are forced to face problems such as female infanticide, dowry killing, acid attacks, and rape cases. After globalization, women have got the opportunity to stand equally in all sectors with males and become independent by showcasing their skills and talents. But it's a disgrace that rape takes place every day. Women are treated as sex objects in a country where people worship Durga and Laxmi.  

 

Just for the pleasure, people destroy women's life and so not only for the safety of the women but also for the betterment of society strict laws should be implemented against the people who harass women. 

Safety and security are not just bound to home or workplace. A country is safe when it's citizens can move freely anytime, anywhere, and everywhere.
